Value the Estate

Before you can begin the probate process you need to value the deceased estate.

Ask three local estate agents for a written ‘probate valuation’ of the property.

Obtain written closing balances of all bank/building society

accounts including ISAS and any other investments.

Obtain written valuations of any specific items worth more than £5000
